Hello, my name is Javier Torres and I am the Founder of The STUFF Networks LLC. I wasn’t born in Milwaukee but I was mostly raised here since 1989. I grew up in the South Side of Milwaukee and I’ve had the fortune and sometimes misfortune of watching it change. No one place is perfect, but one thing I’ve always enjoyed about my side of town is how many small businesses I see. To me they are what gives the city life.
The STUFF Networks LLC was founded in 2006 here in Milwaukee. Since then I’ve been working on helping different businesses with different solutions, be it Web, Network, Photo or Video.
Because we enjoy working on different things and in the past we’ve helped others with a wide variety of needs, we’ve created a few different brands under the TSN umbrella to better differentiate our services.
The STUFF Networks is the parent company, this is the original that started in 2006 officially, but the idea has been around since the early 90s.
STUFF HD is the Multimedia aspect of the company, it actually started off as a YouTube channel, still is. I use the channel to review tech and talk about different things that interest me. Through making content for the channel I’ve been fortunate enough to learn about video production, cameras, mics, audio, podcasting.
JaviPics is the Graphic Design aspect of the company. I’ve always enjoyed photography, I’ve been a landscape photographer for many years now. I’ve dabbled in Wedding photography but my utmost respect to all the real wedding photographers out there, it is a lot of stress. When you deal with Digital Photography, Graphic Design kind of becomes part of it since you spend a lot of time in Lightroom and Photoshop trying to make your photos look better.
TSN HOST kind of goes back to the basics of what the original The STUFF Networks was. At its core, it is a web hosting company. I rent a server from a reliable company and I sell you web hosting space. However, I know that in price alone, I can not compete with other large web hosts. I can guarantee you that your website running on my server is going to run better than theirs, but again, on price alone I can’t compete.
Where I can compete is on Customer Service. If you have no idea how to build a website, I can help you through the whole process, I can explain everything to you, I can train you on how to do updates or add your own content. When something goes wrong, I want you to be able to contact me and know that I’ll do my best to help you.
Aside from the web hosting aspect, I also add all my IT skills under TSN Host because it’s all related, this includes things like creating a network, choosing the right backup solutions, creating storage servers, even goes as far as helping you chose the right camera surveillance system for you and your budget.
We are not Professionals, not in the normal sense anyway. We are Tech enthusiasts that love to tinker with different aspects of technology and have been lucky enough to learn about them. This is why we tend to focus on small businesses and similar organizations, because your needs are usually not that different from the needs I may have at home. You may need a website, but you’re probably not going to be getting millions of visitors, not yet anyway. So why would you go and spend a ton of money getting a state of the art website when all you need is just some basic information out there?
I’ve worked with enough organizations to understand that not everyone has the luxury of having a tech oriented person working for them. This is why I like to focus on simplicity and training. I don’t want us to make you a website that looks abandoned in a month because it was too complex.
That is basically who we are, just a couple of guys who love tech and want to use that knowledge to help others stay relevant in todays quick changing world.
